How to play Tute
- A card is turned up to set trump.

- If void, you must trump (and over-trump if able).
- Capture the high cards for points.
- Take more than 60 points to win the hand.
Tute rules
Teams & deck
4 players in two partnerships, a 40-card deck (no 8, 9, 10), 10 cards each. A turned-up card sets trump.
Strict play
You must follow the led suit and beat it if you can; if you’re void you must trump, and over-trump if possible. Only discard freely when you can’t follow or trump.
Points
Ace = 11, Three = 10, King = 4, Horse (Queen) = 3, Jack = 2; the last trick adds 10. Capture them in the tricks you win.
Scoring
The team with more than 60 points wins the hand. First team to the target game points wins the match.
Strategy tips
- Because you must beat when able, count which high cards remain.
- Hold trumps to capture the Aces and Threes.
- Watch the last trick — it’s worth 10 bonus points.
