How to play Cassino
- Play a card to capture by value or to pair a face card.
- Take sets that sum to your number card.
- Clear the table for a sweep.
- Bank the spades, Aces and Casino cards.
- First to 21 wins.
Cassino rules
Deal
2 players, 52-card deck. Deal cards to hand plus four face-up on the table.
Capturing
Number cards capture table cards of equal value or sets that sum to their value; face cards (J/Q/K) capture by matching rank (pairs).
Sweep
If your play clears the whole table, you score a 'sweep' bonus.
Scoring
Most cards (+3), most spades (+1), the 10♦ Big Casino (+2), the 2♠ Little Casino (+1), each Ace (+1), and each sweep. First to 21 wins.
Strategy tips
- Go for the 10♦ and 2♠ — they're worth extra.
- Capture spades to win the spades point.
- Sweep when you can for the bonus.
