Sueca rules
Teams & deck
4 players in two partnerships (partners sit opposite). A 40-card deck (no 8, 9, 10), 10 cards each.
Trump & points
A trump suit is set each hand. Capture cards for points: Ace = 11, Seven = 10, King = 4, Jack = 3, Queen = 2 — 120 points in total.
Play
Follow the led suit if you can. The highest trump wins, otherwise the highest card of the led suit; the winner captures that trick’s points and leads the next.
Scoring
Your team needs more than 60 of the 120 points to win the hand: 61–90 is a single, 91–119 a double, all 120 a quadruple. First team to 4 game points wins.
Strategy tips
- Track which Aces and Sevens have gone — they’re 21 of the points in just 8 cards.
- Lead trumps to strip opponents when your team is strong.
- Signal your partner by the suits you lead and discard.
- Save a high trump to capture the last valuable trick.
