Tonk rules
Deal
2 players, 7 cards each from a 52-card deck; one card starts the discard pile.
Your turn
Either DROP at the start of your turn (only if your unmatched points are 5 or less), or DRAW one card (stock or discard) then DISCARD one.
Spreads
Form sets (3-4 of a kind) and runs (3+ consecutive cards of one suit). Card values: face cards = 10, Ace = 1, others pip.
Winning
Drop with the lowest deadwood to win the round; a tie or undercut hands it to your opponent. First to 3 round wins takes the match.
Strategy tips
- Drop early when you're low — don't risk an undercut.
- Watch the discard pile; don't feed your opponent's spreads.
